The upstairs was very smokey... my eyes were watering... not a comfortable dining experience
The service was not very good. The server we had was not very friendly and a little annoying. I had a dirty plate so when she came over to pour water for the four of us I handed the plate to her. She also did not have enough water for the fourth glass. She came over and asked if we were ready to order, we ordered drinks and appetizer and I had to request a new plate and to fill up the water for the person who only got a little. We are locals & love the food here. Tuna for dinner & brussels w/bacon are my faves. If you can't maneuver stairs request downstairs. All bathrooms are downstairs & you'll be up/down often. It also gets very hot if you're dining upstairs. Especially during our warmest mths. The crowds, the kitchen heat, & low running air conditioner could make others very uncomfortable. We had wanted to go for happy hour, so I called and asked you could make reservations for Happy Hour and I was told yes. So, I made them on Open Table. When we got there, we were shown to a table and given menus. We then asked for Happy Hour menus and we were told that because we made reservations on Open Table we could only get Happy Hour at the bar, so we had to move. As usual Boca knocks it out of the park. Brought some old friends here and they loved it too. Food is great. Place has a great vibe. Staff is friendly... keep up the good work.
The food was excellent and nicely presented. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and a modern feel. Even the bathrooms were cute and classy. The menu was diverse, prices were appropriate, staff was wonderful and attentive, and the drink options were unique. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The 1/2 flatbread and 1/2 soup or salad is a great lunch option.
Blistered peppers are worth returning to enjoy again. Flatbreads are fair. Looking forward to trying more items hoping they’re a better value. Lively is polite. Very loud atmosphere. Nice to dine outside. Lacks art of service, and hope that picks up.
We thoroughly enjoyed dinner. the food quality, preparation, and service was excellent. Boca has a diverse bar offering with cocktails, wine, and beer. The bar tenders are very knowledgeable as is the wait staff. Boca is a place where we have enjoyed both Happy hour and dinner. We highly recommend Boca.
I would recommend Boca Restaurant in Sarasota to anyone! We had a wonderful meal on Mother’s Day and every single dish was excellent! Fresh food, great tastes and good service!
