Thought the service was just OK, especially being in the theater district - they should know how to much better manage the pre-theater rush. Food was also just OK and it was very expensive for what it was. Do not plan to go back anytime soon.
The food was good but the service was dreadful. We waited nearly an hour for our food to be delivered and consequently we did not have time for dessert because we had theater tickets. We were celebrating my niece's wedding anniversary so it was extremely disappointing that we did not have time to have a planned celebratory dessert. And, our waiter basically ignored us and disappeared during the hour we were waiting for our food.
This restaurant was recommended by a friend and I was looking forward to the experience. This was definitely the most expensive meal I had in NYC but was not the best meal. The filet steak was not cooked appropriately and the bacon potatoes were greasy. The server was not attentive. I would have rated my experience lower but the veal chop and caprese salad were excellent.
The food and service was great. I will definitely come back.
I've eaten here twice in the last two months for pre-theatre dinners; once with a group of 12 women friends and once with 10 in my extended family (teens included). The first experience in November was not great. The restaurant was understaffed and we could not get our waiter's attention. Some of us had good meals and others' were not satisfactory. It took a long time to get our bill and we barely made it to the theatre on time. My second visit in December was much improved. The waitress was attentive and able to answer ques... read more
Nice place, good ambiance, greeted well at the entrance. The food was flavorful too. However, I was a little disappointed with a few things. 1) No bread basket. They gave us one small slice of bread, and we had to ask for something to put on it. 2) The waiter brought out my entree before my appetizer, when I asked him about it he said "oh" and then brought it out, put it down and walked away. 3) Thank God I wasn't in the desert. Forget about getting refills on our drinks. Finally I had to corral the waiter to bring refills. ... read more
We chose Bond 45 because of its close proximity to the Theater where we were attending a show (Tina Turner). We were very pleased with the food, service and atmoshere. We enjoyed a drink at the bar before dinner. Peter the bartender was a hoot. We were seated p0at our reserved time and the service was prompt but not rushed. Will return next year.
It was our first time there. We enjoyed very much. We took our time because our reservation was at 5pm and the Tina show was at 8pm. I actually loved the downstairs setting and the Studio 54 Music sounded nice. My son really enjoyed the Veal chop and we all liked our food as well. I will definitely recommend.
Pretty restaurant conveniently located in the theater district. Overall, our food was tasty, though small in portion-size, and the service was a little slow. My Italian Wedding Soup appetizer was beautifully presented, though slightly over salted and lukewarm. My husband and I both ordered the sole special, which tasted really good. Unfortunately, the size of each fish filet was about half expected, and he was still hungry. Desserts were fantastic. Our waitress was terrific, though we are guessing the restaurant was down in ... read more
