We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dr. Milton and all of his staff! Our girls count down days until their next visit because they live it so much!!
I was really looking forward to taking our 2 year old to Dr. Milton for a tongue tie revision, because I’ve heard such wonderful things! After calling in and getting info, I was told I would not be allowed in the room due to insurance laws in Ohio. Something my husband and I weren’t really comfortable with... I found another preferred provider in Ohio and wanted to call just to see if they would say the same and to my surprise they told me that they welcome and encourage parents to be there during the procedure, to keep kids... read more
Business response:
Thank you for the feedback and sorry for the confusion, Shay. You are correct, there is no “law” against it. We LOVE having parents back in the room, unless the laser is going to be used. Dr. Milton adopted these laser safety guidelines in 2010 along with most experts in the field. Read more here: https://www.drghaheri.com/blog/2014/4/3/laser-vs-scissors-how-to-choose-your-provider
Very Crooked! CONTACTING the BBB and AG! Would not go here!
This practice takes advantage of parents and promotes unnecessary procedures and anesthesia in children. Considering the risks for complications with anesthesia, I would say it is a matter of time before one of these dentists end up in a court room. Do not be scared to get a second opinion, you will be surprised how much upsell there is in the practice - at risk of harm to your child. Don't be fulled by the fluff. No competent health care provider would promote unnecessary anesthesia, especially in a child.
SCAM ALERT.....$92 for nitrous and an additional $50 for "laser treatment" and both those come out of pocket as dental insurance doesn't pay for it. NO THANKS! I cannot comment on the actual dentistry and I'm sure they are all fine people but you people are getting RIPPED OFF!
Business response:
Matthew, we are sorry you feel that way. There are a lot of options that some plans cover and others don't. Depending on the child's treatment needs, we customize a plan that's best for them and inform the parents in writing before we even begin treatment.
I think this is more of a used car sales lot, it's amazing that all my kids needed the same extensive work and my second and third opinion said it was all unnecessary.
