Wow we took our bc there yesterday for a routine desexing procedure not only were we rushed into a room when we got there so a vet nurse could look him over she held his lead at one part but he done as she was told then another lady came in and took him away without telling us we thought she wanted to weigh him or something. We were then told to leave. I aske if my asd boy could say goodbye to his assistance dog in training they said no it's to busy. We left getting told they would ring us at 3 to tell us when to pick him up... read more

Business response:

Sorry you feel this way. But you and your dog were put into a room for yours and your dogs safely as there was a dog aggressive dog. They are also taken in a room so we can go through everything with you without being interrupted. The dog was then taken out the back by a vet because we had an emergency which would have been unpleasant for a child to see. So this is why going out the back was not possible at this time. People are told to call at 3 sorry if you miss understood that. Your dog was treated with the up mo... read more

No five stars for this practice. Having had some 8 pets looked after by them over 5 years we find that they essentially treat their clientele with contempt. No disclosure of costs and they have elected to increase their prescription costs by 50% with no notice. That on top of the consultation fee. Almost no evidence of ethical business practice or accountability to the (patient's) owners. We are fortunate that we have other veterinary practices in the area that are transparent in their dealings

Business response:

Sorry you feel that way. Our prescription medication has not incressed at all it is the same as always so there has been no change there. If you would like to discuss the mater please feel free to call the clinic.

Mark Cullen took in a lost Sulphur Crested Cockatoo and did not check with the RSPCA where it was registered. He gave it away. The bird was my Companion animal. There is a $300 Reward for his return. Often shouts out "Melanie, Rebecca!" Not an understanding man.

Business response:

We have many birds brought through our doors every day. We take in wildlife as a good deed not many clinic do. If birds are brought into us they are looked at by a vet and then if well enough sent to a career. If it is a common bird like a cockatoo , loreeket or galah. And there are no obvious signs that they are a pet like leg band, microchip or friendly or talking then there is no proof to us that it is a pet so once looked at it is sent to a career. If we know it is a pet or other breeds that are obviously pets like c... read more

I certainly will not make this my first stop in an emergency after getting turned away with a dog that couldn't stand after being in a fight on 10/3/15 at 5.30pm I was in your surgery just because you are not my local vet when my dog doesn't ever see a vet only for vaccines he is a healthy dog normally

Business response:

Hi Tina, I'm sorry you were turned away. We only do this under extreme circumstances when we are unable to treat more animals due to an influx of emergencies.
