Our experience, the second try, was less than successful. We waited much too long to be approached by our waitress. She didn't ask if we'd like something to drink beside water. When I asked for a perfect Manhattan, she said that they only offered the drinks on the menu and manhattans weren't on the menu - no manhattan in NYC????? The drinks took too long to be delivered and the food was delivered immediately following the drinks. It felt like they were hurrying us out. My dinner partner ordered the bean and vegetable soup an... read more
Any place that serves eggs and lasagna should be avoided
I made a reservation for 4 on a Thursday for Sunday at 6pm to have dinner after the matinee at LCT. When the server arrived, we were told that this Italian restaurant was out of all the pastas, and main courses like chicken parmegiano. There was a reheated quiche that was inedible. We settled for soup and sandwiches. They had to come back several times to tell us we needed to make a substitution. How can a restaurant function this way in the middle of Lincoln Center when there are plays, concerts and filmgoers on a Sunday?
An Italian Restaurant which was out of tomato sauce and pesto? Caesar salad lacking in tasteI. It may be good for lunch but not dinner. Very disappointed sone I live in neighborhood.
We sat at the last table next to the counter with a heavy person at the wall table and there was not enough room to pass between. The table, which is bolted to the floor, should be moved.
Disappointing Tuscan bean soup, flavorless, sent it back. The meats and cheese board was ok, had to ask for more bread to accompany it. Two young servers had the whole place, they were attentive and friendly
The food was not so fresh. My soup seemed like out of a can. Although it is right next to the Lincoln Center theater, I will look for another place near by when I visit next time.
Diappointing - the temperature in the room was frigid - the server told us they could not adjust it. The food varied from mediocre (salty soup and tiny half sandwich of Brie and prosciutto which would have been tasty if not overwhelmed by fig spread) to good (meatball hero)..
We had a 7:30 rez. My friend arrived at 7:45, no one came to our table until 8:10 and then they told us the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes. They started putting the chairs up all around us while we were shoveling our meals, which were obviously hastily prepared, in as fast as possible.
