RecommendedWe called Camboro because they are the only vet around that is open on a Saturday. We asked them if we could get an appointment to have them take a look at a mass that had grown on our dog’s chest. It was bleeding and had an odor to it and we’d like to look into having it removed, if possible. The receptionist was very rude and condescending, informing us that “a mass can’t simply be removed. *That* requires surgery.” And then recommended that we call the emergency vet in Erie, who opens at 2pm. My sister and I came to Camboro Veterinary Hospital on 9/29/21. My sister was coming in to this hospital to have a euthanization process done with her dog. She came into this place in TEARS as this was a incredibly hard decision she had to make, this decision was recommended my her dogs regular vet. My sisters dog suffered from lime disease and it took a toll on him pretty fast, even after they had tried every medication that they could (my sister made this known to the Camboro Vets). Our goal in accepting your sister and Duke as a non-client emergency was to help Duke. Apparently his regular veterinarian was unable to see him. We know how much your sister cared for Duke, and so we were surprised when she did not give us permission to call Duke’s previous veterinarian and obtain his medical records. Brought our severely ill cat in for care. The Vet was great. But... We had to have life or death discussions via phone from the car, were put on hold, calling back only to be sent to voice mail. We decided on euthanasia. We pleaded for “mom” and “dad” to both be present. Couldn’t do it. Company policy. Either just one of us or no one. Pathetic. We have have been going to Camboro for 20 or thirty years. NEVER AGAIN.

having been a loyal customer to this vet for many years, I am shocked at how poorly my fur babies were treated. the focus is clearly on the money they're making and two of my dearest old cats died in my arms the day camboro did not have any appointment times and thought I should pay two emergency fees to have suffering animals receive the meds to ease their pain I am so thoroughly disappointed in the staff focusing so dearly on getting my payment while I sobbed and handed over a credit card with my dying cat in my arms, forg... read more
