We’ve been around the dog park a few times. Since 1972 Canine Country Club and Feline Inn’s team of highly trained, dedicated individuals has been behind the scenes from the wee hours of the mornings until long after the sun goes down every minute of every day. We’re honored to have enjoyed an extraordinary number of repeat customers since opening our doors, and expanding with a second location in 1997. We are members of the Pet Care Services Association (formerly the ABKA) and adhere to their strict guidelines. Several mana... read more

I recently received an email from Canine Country Club apologizing for the way "additional obstacles that have impacted you ... and we are working to get things on track." However, for me this apology is too little too late. I called and left two voice mails (on a Tuesday and Thursday) re: being charged for a full day and half day for a doggie day care visit in July. I did not receive a call back. On Saturday, I finally got through to someone at the westside location and asked for a supervisor to return my call. When the S... read more
today when we dropped our dog off they said the play area was at "capacity" and that our dog would have to sit in a Kennel all morning, they will put her in the play are for TWO hours and then she has to go back in a kennel. They will graciously just charge us a "half day" since thats all the play shes getting....?????? So now we are paying for her to sit in a kennel and then get only 2 hours of playtime because we drop her off on our way to work and there was no way to rearrange plans this late this morning. So frustrating.... read more
I contacted the Canine Club prior to our dog's reservation and asked about shot requirements for boarding. In addition to the shots our dog already had, they informed us she would need the canine influenza shot too. We were told that the mobile vet could do the shot for $40. I called my vet and they said the shot would cost me $38. For a couple dollars more, I figured I would just have the shot done at Canine Country Club. We took our dog Roxy in at our scheduled time on December 13, went over all the charges and extra ... read more
Longtime customer but will never take my dogs here again. Both came home with kennel cough and one also had severe vomiting and diarrhea. This dog also had a flea infestation and severe flea bites on his neck. What in the hell is going on here? They always come home and drink copious amounts of water. I'm wondering if it's restricted to limit potty breaks. They nickel and dime you for everything. I could hire a private nurse to care for them cheaper. They are closed for three solid days over every holiday. Prepare to be... read more
They do a good job with the dogs; they don't do a very good job with customer service for the owners. They have had my records wrong and failed to make the indicated corrections. They have provided misinformation and conflicting information about my dog's vaccination requirements. Most bothersome is the very extensive paperwork required every time I would board my dog overnight. When I asked if this might be copied into the system, they suggested I could make my own copy (e.g., name, address, blah, blah, blah). They already ... read more
Dropped off my dog for grooming and boarding while in town for a business meeting. Asked for 3/4" trim ect. When I picked her up she had been bathed but not cut at all. I was in a hurry to leave town, so I let it go. 4 weeks later same secnario. This time I said cut her hair to a length of 1-1/4". When I picked her up it had been cut to 1/4" length. I live in the San Juan mountains and it's mid December. She will be freezing when let outside to relieve herself. Was told a manager would me. Two days and no call even... read more
They killed my dog. He was there to be groomed. He was overheated in the drying process and developed breathing problems. The rapid panting caused swelling, his larnyx became paralyzed causing more breathing difficulties. Due to the lack of oxygen he voided, diarhea, and dirtied himself - so they did it again. His was a horrible death. Don't let them groom your pet unless you are there to watch.
Not a good experience. Would give them even less than a star. Dog has been to other groomers and been just fine. They were not able to give her a haircut. They scared her so much that she pooped all over herself multiple times. Then they had the gall to charge us full price for a bath! The other location was fine but not this location. Stay away. The manager came across as insolent. Not a good experience.
The personnel are polite and courteous BUT... their policy of a seven (7) day limit for cancelation (to get your $25, per pet) deposit refunded is Ridiculous. Emergencies happen and they shouldn't penalize their customers like this. It's uncalled for as far as I am concerned. Even HUMAN hotels provide a better cancelation policy than these folks do. I would have second thoughts about using them, because of this policy.
