While the customer service at this location isn't exactly attentive, Cavender's has a pretty large selection of boots and clothing if you know what you're looking for. We buy boots regularly and can always find what we're looking for here - but I'd recommend coming in with a general idea of what you want as there are a lot of options and not a lot of employee assistance. They likely would not be the best option for a first time buyer or kids shoes.
All of the staff are very young but very polite and very helpful. Service is always great. Shirt and jean prices are in line with other western retailers. Boot prices seem a little less. Well within reason.
The good about this Cavendars is the size of their selection on boots and men's jeans and tops. The salesman there was very attentive and polite. They also have a small section dedicated to all things Texas, which is great because as a Texan, I appreciate representing our roots and our great state. The bad is probably just me being biased toward this fancy Kansas version of Cavenders. I may be a Texan but I know Kansas has plenty of farm girls in need of good clothes. I'm used to the good 'ol Cavenders that was established... read more
Typical overpriced western store good in a pinch. The quality was either crap or $500 Luchesse's.
I bought a pair of Old Gringo boots at this Cavender's and the experience was overall good. I feel like when I walked in I didn't get as much attention as some of the other folks that walked in, even though I came ready to spend a ridiculous amount of money on boots. Corrie, the assistant manager, was wonderful. She gave me a hand trying a pair on and then special ordered the boots I wanted, and at a very very fair price. I'm glad I dealt with her when I placed my order. This store is full of what I think of as "Power & Lig... read more
This place is at first overwhelming with the wide variety. Being from the country I have seen places with a much better variety of western wear. Most of these places also have much nicer and knowledgeable staff. They're honestly more of a city/ country store, I've never seen a western wear store carry Hurley and Affliction before, my friends would think I was making that up. They still get an ok rating because the store is always clean, you can find something you'll like, and the prices are good.
Very helpful staff on fitting. Black Friday deals were sub par. Great selection.
I am in no way a connoisseur of western wear. But, this store is pretty cool. They have everything a cowgirl or cowboy would need I think. I really enjoyed their selection of western boots and if I had $200 to drop on a pair, you best believe I would. The whole reason I came here is because my mom was after some cowgirl rain boots. They have the cutest selection of rubber rain boots in the style of a cowboy boot. The sizes are limited and it looked like the racks had been thoroughly picked through. The rest of the st... read more
So I finally went back to the store since it was the only one who had the specific hat I wanted, walked in and saw a bunch of workers who didn't want to help, went straight to the hat section and no one was there so I just helped myself and picked the hat I wanted (I don't know anything about how to pick a cowboy hat) expensive but hey I always wanted one. So went to the cashier guy and he asked me if anyone helped me? HAHAHA I said no and he looked around and I guess saw no one? Look Cavender's if yall keep hiring people wh... read more
