My husband and I go a few times a year as it is one of his favorites. The salad bar is wonderful. The service is outstanding and the selections of meats are very good.
We have always enjoyed dining at Chama Gaucha, and every visit has been a delightful experience. The food is consistently delicious, and the ambiance is perfect for both casual and special occasions. However, during our most recent visit, we encountered an issue at checkout. Our party of six was automatically charged gratuities on two separate checks at our table (three persons per check), which was unexpected and disappointing as we were under the impression automatic gratuities were for parties of eight or more. I would say it maybe costs $10 extra a person here than Fogo de Chao but the quality is 10 times better! The service was incredible.! I had 5 different meats on my plate within 5 minutes of having a plate in front of me. The flavor was out of this world! Best Brazilian Steakhouse in San Antonio and possibly the best I’ve ever had!
We arrived 30 minutes early, and were seated right away. The waitress was great. The food was great. The problem was that there were not many servers coming around with meat, and most times it was chicken, or pork. You go to a place like this for beef. Otherwise it was a very nice place with very friendly staff. Mabey Friday evenings are not the best option?
