I worked with Adam Sutton and he was great! As a dad it can be difficult however Adam navigated me through the system with ease, never overselling and we got a better decision than I thought (50/50 joint). I highly recommend Adam as one of the best to work with!
My experience with Bennita Bullett and the Cordell and Cordell Raleigh office overall was positive. Bennita and her team were thorough in reviewing my case on several iterations, including two child support adjustments at matriculation and to contest a breach of contract suit from my ex wife. My lawyer, Adam Sutton, helped me with my divorce and contempt case against my ex-wife. He is experienced, levelheaded, responsive, and knowledgeable. I was extremely lucky to have him represent me. Having him represent me again for my contempt case was testament to his abilities as a divorce lawyer. Adam Sutton actually got the ball rolling! Finally- an attorney with ethical standards and work ethic. He was punctual, reliable and actually a decent guy you can trust. He was the opposing counsel; he was gooood but my attorney was better! Hence the 3 stars. Adam is organized but expensive though. Not to say my Lawyer wasn't prepared, because he was. I came into this thinking I was going to pay around the average of $3500. I had paid over 7k and I never met my Lawyer in person. I ended up settling the night before my court day. My court day alone would be north of $2k to my Lawyer. Not including my own cost coming from out of town. A lot of over charging. 1 Lawyer introduced herself, we talked for 15 mins and she charged me a full hour. I only gave it a 1 star because you can't give a zero, which is what I think of this law firm. I paid this company $11,200 for a job that my ex paid $2800 to her local attorney for. Go to a local attorney instead of this firm that charges for every phone call and every email.

Inarticulate expensive and powerless. They will eat up your money faster than pacman. Charged for 1 word emails. Got NO RESULTS AND SPENT WAY MORE MONEY than all the other lawyers combined by more than double. Horrible experience do not use this firm. They are a nationwide firm with very high prices and no results. Took every cent we had for NOTHING !
If you're looking for aggressive representation that follows through with plans and promises go anywhere else. These hacks delayed the case to get more hours in and almost TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS later we still don't have a modification to child support after 14 months. How? I don't know they don't give a reason. And when questioned the blame the client with no evidence. These people should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of fathers who just want to see their kids.
