The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because of Nikki. We came in as a party of seven and were told there was a 30-minute wait. We browsed the store and played checkers, which wasn’t a problem. When our table was ready, our waitress arrived quickly and took our drink orders. However, things went downhill from there. Seriously sick of hearing "no one working in the kitchen"...waitress Jennifer took a half hour to serve an order of onion petals. She served an order of burnt onion petals. She brought the bread out after all the other food had been served. Too expensive times to be wasting money AND time on Cracker Barrel's sub par food and service. Even the store can't make up for it. We went on Easter and it was amazing. The service was perfect, our waiter was Michael and he was fantastic we never had to wait for him he was there checking on us although they were extremely busy. Our food was very hot which is unlike a cracker barrel. I will definitely be back!
I had a coupon for a free dessert but the restaurant we were at wasn’t rolling it out until the day after my coupon expired (it was only good May 3-5 and they were rolling it out on the 6th…we were there on the 3rd). But the manager decided to have them create it for me anyways! It was delicious! Our server was fantastic to facilitate that!
Overall the best bang for your buck these days. Our last visit on Easter we were really hoping for better service and warmer food. Of course it was Easter around breakfast time. Eggs Benny was a very small biscuit with a side of hash-brown casserole - cold. I could have gotten a bigger warmer biscuit at Rise for half the price but our family loves Cracker Barrel and again this was rare. Our server was doing the best she could.
