Our trips to Arizona usually include a meal at Cracker Barrel. The trout is so delicious and the sides really make the meal. Cracker Barrel really should consider a location in northern Michigan. The Gaylord area would be fantastic. As of now, we have to make a trip to Traverse City.
Im pretty disappointed. My wife and I have been eating here for years, always loved it but today the Homestyle chicken was just not good. Whatever you guys changed in the recipe or the cooking method...go back. Even the apple butter is a lighter color and doesn't taste as good as before.
Went for breakfast..which was good only because we were very hungry..biscuits were ok barely warm and gravy had no flavor ..Pancakes were not good barely warm and rubbery. Tasted like microwaved pancakes.hashbrowns and bacon were good.Meals weren't really hot and food just didnt tast as homemade as it once did.I don't eat eggs so was hoping to substitute for regular hash browns like most places would, but they are an upcharge if you dont get the hashbrown casserole. Me , my husband and daughter visited Cracker Barrel on higley road for breakfast and it was as busy as I have ever seen a restaurant. We were a little worried because there were so many people that we thought the service and/or food may not be as good. We don’t get to a Cracker Barrel often it I was craving there hash brown casserole some we decided to go for a Friday breakfast. I had been a few years since our last time at a Cracker Barrel but the atmosphere was exactly the same as I remembered. We were seated and got coffee and water right away.
