Best chain diner there is, I got nothing to complain about when dining at Cracker Barrel. The atmosphere of the restaurant and store is always so welcoming and warming. The service from the waitresses to the manager all feel as if you are dining at a small mom and pop eatery. I love the food variety they offer, consisting of bbq and southern classics such as fried chicken, fried catfish, chicken 'n dumplins, meatloaf, poboys, and much more! I always enjoy the Cracker Barrel. The food is consistently good. I call it comfort food. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. The fireplace was on this morning and it was very homey.
My wife is from North Carolina and though we live over an hour away, she had a “hankering’” to dine at Cracker Barrel. Once there the staff was very accommodating to her mildly disabled movement. She was using a walker. The entire building is well set up for the disabled which is quite nice. Food was great and delivered promptly to the table. My wife was even able to get a bottle of “Cheer Wine”, a staple in NC. All in all a great road trip for a very nice Sunday afternoon
My wife and I had a delicious dinner. I had the hamburger steak was wonderful and she had the chicken pot pie. She was very surprised at how good it was love the new atmosphere in it. They have new plates. It makes it feel more like a grandma’s kitchen restaurant, which is what we like.
We celebrated my husband's birthday at Cracker Barrel. Although they do not accept reservations, they were able to accommodate us at a reasonable time, about 20 minutes. The food is EXCELLENT, as always! Our host was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be repeat customers.
