We celebrated my husband's birthday at Cracker Barrel. Although they do not accept reservations, they were able to accommodate us at a reasonable time, about 20 minutes. The food is EXCELLENT, as always! Our host was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be repeat customers.
My wife and I had a delicious dinner. I had the hamburger steak was wonderful and she had the chicken pot pie. She was very surprised at how good it was love the new atmosphere in it. They have new plates. It makes it feel more like a grandma’s kitchen restaurant, which is what we like.
I had the meatloaf with sides of mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Both the meatloaf and mashed were ok but portions were very small. just enough to say we gave you some. The person that seated me tried to give me a table in front of the kitchen door which I refused the entire dining room had just a few people in it. why are you giving me the worst table?
I love the cracker barrel. one of my favorite restaurants ever....I love the store, I feel so cheery when I'm there. My kids love there chicken potpies. we have eaten at this restaurant in Tennessee, idaho, and California and Reno it sad California has has only like 5 locations. They wld do well in the central valley locations. My kids are huge fans and we're broken hearted to know the one in sacramento shut down.
This was my first time dining at Cracker Barrel. Loved the atmosphere and ambiance here. Before you even step into the restaurant you're greeted to a sprawling store where you can buy things like specialty sodas, jams and other branded goods. They sure know how to merchandise. Their whole schtick as a high-end diner is accentuated by the eclectic decor, which I love. The breakfast food was good, not exceptional but tasty and satisfying.
