Dinner at Cracker Barrel with the family felt like a culinary lottery, and we definitely didn’t win the jackpot. We ordered two steaks: one with shrimp, one with fried chicken. I asked for medium rare, but my steak showed up well done, while my wife's medium steak decided to swap places and came out medium rare. A real steak identity crisis! Absolutely amazing service and care from this team! Lucy truly made us feel welcome on our honeymoon, she made sure we were cared for, she went above and beyond, giving us excellent places to try out around the area. We waited a good while for our waitress to come take our drink order. We ordered cracker barrel's famous sweet tea. Needless to say there was no ice in it. My husband ordered chicken and dumplings, pinto beans with onions and hashbrown casserole. The pinto beans were dry enough You could put them in a slingshot. My family and I came Wednesday evening. The food has gone completely down hill since I started eating here 6 years ago. Every visit just gets worse. We had a table of 13 people! You had one server working our table and two others with absolutely no help. A table of 13 should have two servers minimum! The guy looked overtly stressed and was dripping sweat by the time we left. I hate writing bad reviews but I just have to. We had breakfast here and it was just a crap experience. Extremely slow service, and we didn’t get our whole order when the food came out. We didn’t get any napkins for our meal. The food was very meh. Ordered the country fried steak, eggs, and hash brown casserole with biscuits and gravy. Also ordered a side of French toast.
