I have been a long time Cracker Barrel customer and fan. Tonight was a big disappointment. The salads while good were only half full. The vegetables were good but sparse. The chicken was the biggest disappointment. It was spongy and very tough and had no flavor at all and the breading was very spicy but no real flavor. And to top it off, the biscuits were rock hard. Spent way too much money for what we got. Not at all what Cracker Barrel used to be.
the Biscuits & Gravy with Bacon or Sausage wasn't up to normal standards. the bisuits were smallish and not as fluffy as normal.verysad and disappointing. kind of bad when a fast food place does better Biscuits and gravy.
I order from here all the time & today nothing was cooked all the way. Pancakes, bacon & eggs all was still undercooked & since I don't have means to cook I couldnt throw it on a pan & cook it longer. Just had throw it away so ended up wasting my money.
I do feel like Cracker Barrel is slipping a lot and it makes me kind of sad. Only my country vegetable plate. The corn had leaked all over the bag, so it was tasteless and everything else was soggy like the bread. It's been a while since I've gotten a good cornbread muffin from there. Last time I ordered it, the cornbread muffins were literally falling apart like you couldn't even pick one out this time the muffins were flat on top and very pale, not browned. The food is dry. I never make posts. This food was legitimately something you get from a nursing home cafeteria.
I was excited about the Chicken and Rice but when I got it the chicken was very tasteless and the hash brown casserole was horrible ! The casserole was dried out and very hard to cut with a fork. It was like hash browns had been fried with a couple of huge chunks of onion, no creaminess from the soup or cheese.
Pancakes were raw in themiddle . Ordered mashed potatoes with gravy did not get gravy. Fried chicken and steak fries overcooked and tough. Biscuts are burnt on top and did not send jelly as requested.
They always forgot napkins or utensils and the food was ok, the flavor was a little off
