My sister and I decided we would treat ourselves to lunch at Cracker Barrel. When we got there, we were seated in the back of the restaurant, but we really wanted to sit closer to the fireplace because it was cold outside, and we wanted to enjoy the fire. We asked the waitress if we could be moved to the other room by the fire. She was very nice about it, moved us closer to the fireplace, and took excellent care of us while we were there. We waited an hour to be seated. Then we waited 10 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order, then another 15 minutes to actually get our drinks. We waited 45 minutes for our food. We were at the restaurant for 2 hours. The food was cold or just warm. It was not good. Disappointed all the around.
It took over 45 minutes to get our food and when we did get it, it was barley warm. While waiting for our food we were enjoying our coffee, but when it ran out 15 minutes went by before we could get a refill. Our waitress walked by several times but never looked our way so we could let her know. Someone else had finally brought us the coffee. I only ordered 2 eggs and biscuits with jelly and my boyfriend got the old timer breakfast I believe. It was good besides not being very warm.
I Really enjoyed myself here. The front staff placed us at an amazing table close to the fireplace and Laundell (I hoped I spelled your name correctly) was our server and he did a phenomenal job. We felt welcome, the food was fresh/delicious, and the warmth from the fireplace made it all worth eating here.
I was a little disappointed in the quality of the food this time. Temperatures on some of our food was off (too cool not warm enough) but we didn't send it back. It was just a little blah this time. Love the atmosphere and bathrooms are always clean and service from our waitress was good.
