My wife and I had a hankering for catfish so we stopped in at the Somerset, Ky store. We were seated promptly and Emma the waitress took our order within five minutes. I know that we stopped at an off-time being 3:45 pm trying to beat the supper bunch where some services may be a little longer. The restaurant was clean and very pleasant looking on the inside. Chicken was very tasty and juicy. All the right seasonings. Cold slaw was delicious and sweet. Dumplings were amazing. Such a great gravy taste to it. Also tried the cheese curds, and they were delicious. Love how cozy and warm it felt in there. Super homie and relaxing. Service was nice but a bit slow. Took a while to get the initial drinks.
They can't make pancakes. Over cooked on outside not fully cooked on inside. Griddle too hot. Eggs a little too done, bacon excellent. Great tasting orange juice. Love their coffee. Service great, they were not very busy. My section had 2 tables , me and 2 men at the other table at 9: 45 on Monday morning.
Consistent food that you love from Cracker Barrel. Not always the most flavorful but tasty breakfast options.
My sister and I (over 65) ordered from the kids menu (which had to be requested) but no hassle. The food was great and the portions the perfect size. Our server was probably the best I have ever had! Great Somerset Cracker Barrel!
