It is set back off the highway. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. The food could have been hotter but it was tasty. We tried the seasonal appetizer and the 2 meals
I’ve never had a bad experience at the Barrel! Their food is consistent. I get that it’s a chain, but hear me out. It’s a good chain. Plus they have a really great selection of merchandise to buy.
Excellent service - we got there before 'big supper crowd' but it was full by the time we ordered. Chicken is ALWAYS DELICIOUS & the sides are plentiful. We added $5 'to go' afterwards & we delighted our server separated strawberries from French toast... Pic shows AFTER I had ate about 1/2!. The DESSERT is out of this world & we always get that to go . Annalise did an EXCELLENT job & everyone around us seems very pleased with all. We drive 40 minutes & it is well worth the trip!!
Always great food. Love the breakfast and dinner a lot. Can’t go wrong with most of the menu. It’s an American classic
Stop by here if you like: - your chicken and dumplings dry and with no stew - don’t like biscuits but prefer the dumplings to be made of dough and boiled like pasta (like Chinese/Korean dumplings) - like to have no vegetables at all in your chicken and dumplings - prefer grits that have lumps and are not creamy, and that have been sitting around for a while + the cheese added on top, but not stirred in - love mac n’ cheese made from powder With the this much lack of attention to their cooking of such a simple and basic dish... read more
