Ordered the Roast Beef dinner with loaded baked potato and green beans. Advertised to be slow cooked for hours and fork tender. Was literally like eating shoe leather. Loaded baked potato was missing sour cream, butter, and chives. So that was not super impressive. Green beans were good. Thats about it. And people wonder why Cracker Barrel isn't going to make it.
We are normally big fans of Cracker Barrel. This experience was way below expectations. The Scratch-Made Meatloaf Family Meal was not worth the price paid. The meatloaf was dry and crusty as if it had been sitting out all day. The biscuits were dried out and hard. I could have used them as hockey pucks. The peach cobbler was a complete joke. First off this was a 23.00 sampler meal. Which should of been 5.00. The sirloin tips was like a rubber shoe and only like 4-6 chunks not alot at all. The the home chicken tenders were old and dried up.. The shrimp was ok. The pinto beans were ok but not like they usually are. I ordered the New York strip and shrimp combo, I ordered the steak medium well, but it was so overcooked it bent my fork. The shrimp was so salty I couldn't even eat it. Overall just inedible.
The potatoes and onions in the Hashbrown Casserole were still almost raw.
Food was cold Pancakes were tough
I was disappointed with my food this time. ordered Build Your Own Homestyle Breakfast. I requested the bacon be cooked crispy, it was not. Ordered loaded hash brown casserole as a side; received the regular hash browns. The 2 pancakes were cold & rubbery. I did not ask for cheese on my scrambled eggs but it was added anyway. Such a disappointment when almost everything you ordered was not correct.
The scrambled eggs had eggshells still in the eggs so you couldn't eat it the French toast had no syrup in the bags. $66 breakfast at wasn't worth it
