The team here have been providing exceptional veterinary services and compassionate care to their clients for more than 30 years! The hospital has 6 full time veterinarians and 3 part time veterinarians, as well as a support staff of 20. One month ago my cat, Lily, died from a vaccine induced sarcoma that she received from this hospital. This is incredibly common in cats and at the time she got her vaccines I was unaware of this. The information was never shared to me and I was never asked if I wanted her to have a 3 year rabies vaccine before it was given. I thought perhaps this is new scientific information to the veterinarian community but have since learned it is not. Whoever was the secretary this afternoon (February 1st 2022 @ around 2pm) is completely unprofessional and far from compassionate. My poor dog accidentally consumed something outside and was in distress, this woman had ZERO empathy and no costumer service personality. We were concerned for our pet, but she continued to have a severe “I don’t give a f*ck about your problem,” attitude. My dog and family deserved better.
The service at Danvers has been going downhill for a while. Things people should be aware of. 1. No multi pet discount and their prices are high. We have 4 dogs and I am shocked how much money we have spent with them. 2. No on call vet after hours. If your pet has surgery and that evening you have questions or problems you should be able to reach an on call vet - not be sent to Bulger Animal Hospital where they don’t have the history on the animal or the information on the procedure - why not just go to Bulger in the first... read more
The women who work here are by far the rudest. Not welcoming at all.My dog is traumatized everytime we go here and when she leaves. They simply dont have great customer service skills OR in my opinion arent that good with dogs that are scared of being there. They really are not that great. Better options around for sure
RecommendedThis week my 5 year old beagle Noel choked on a piece of food, it got lodged in her windpipe and she stopped breathing. I performed CPR on her and she started to breathe again all while I drove her to the emergency vet down the street from my house. From start to finish dealing with this other vet was a nightmare of an experience. Within the chaos of trying to get my dog help I jumped in my car without my wallet. I am finding the prices are outrageous. Especially when we can not even go in the hospital with our pets and see/speak with the Vet while working on our pets. If people can go to work and go food shopping there is no reason why owners can not be with their pets during whatever procedure they are there for.
if they could just prepapre the usual client that they never see weekend emergencies it would be more honest of them. most of us rely on them and trust our drs and vets for great care. i love dr myers. hes a great vet. one of the best on the nothshore but in an emergency don't waste time with the receptionist. its a slap in the face to spend good money where they dont stand by u. both in emergencies and in time of crisis. we took all our dying dogs and cats to bulger now. the front staff lack empathy..my dog use to donate bl... read more
They are supposed to be veterinarians who care for animals, but truly only care about timing, recently had a situation with my dog where I came home and she wouldn't walk. she had been in a sitting position and upon touch she would yelp and shake. I called Danvers Animal Hospital and expressed that I needed to bring her in (this was at 4pm in the afternoon). I was first told that they were booked and could not see her. Everything except all prescription purchases. Some are cheaper online. We buy what we need immediately at dah and order the rest online. This is true of any animal hospital or pharmacy. Vets and other staff are open about this and never try to convince us to buy from there. People say vet care is pricey here but in the long run, it's all the same except dah vets give the best care and show personal concern. Been to other places. Not worth it.
