Food is solid as always. You can choose to order with the cashier or at the self service kiosk here which is convenient. The environment is clean. I would just state that sometimes there's a rush and it could take a pretty long time to get your food so order ahead if you know you're going in around a peak time.

DAVE'S HOT CHICKEN @ EL CAJON Parking is available on the street, but it was extremely busy when my friend and I came on a Thursday afternoon. The restaurant is located in a busy complex with lots of stores, which definitely explains the crowd! Shoutout to the employee, BRENDA, she was incredible and so kind! First time here. Very busy is always a good sign. We got the #2. Two chicken sliders w fries. You get your money's worth for sure. The sliders come w kaleslaw and pickles. The fries are crinkled. My fave. The sauce on the sandwich is minimal but they give you plenty extra. It's a pink mayo sauce. Very good. The chicken on the sandwhich is a giant fat juicy tender. I recently stopped by the Dave's Hot Chicken in El Cajon and had one of the best (and hottest!) experiences yet. On a previous visit I wasn't really in the mood for anything too spicy, but this time the craving hit hard. As a spice lover, it comes in waves--so I went all in and ordered the Dave's #2: two sliders with fries. I did one Medium and one Reaper. I don't have this very often but today I was out and about and hungry. I was greeted with a hearty welcome and a smile. I ordered the two piece with a drink and was informed it would take about 12 minutes. They had just opened.
