Only reason I'm not giving a 5 is because it was soooo spicy! Not their fault. Service was excellent and overall good. Just be aware that it is spicy!!!!

With a number of businesses coming and going in the Ladera Center, it was nice to see a Dave's Hot Chicken pop up and I was hopeful that the food would match the hype. After finding room on the schedule, the family and I were finally able to partake one given evening. I was delightfully surprised and thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Dave's. Newbie alert! My sister recommended this place because she knows I love hot chicken. I came from the hot chicken capital of the world so I know hot chicken. I got the medium. I took advice from another customer who said he likes hot food but the hot is too hot. I should've went with my first mind and got the hot. Medium did nothing for me. The chicken taste more sweet than hot. I also ordered cheese fries and what a disappointment! It was literally just a piece of cheese slapped across the fries. Came in and didn't have to wait in line long. The dining room was a little messy but it could've just been less staffing late at night. My food came out quickly and it tasted delicious.

I have heard great things about this place but avoided trying because of the notorious long lines in the downtown branch! I am so glad they are finally opening another in west LA. The line in this branch isn't as bad! But you could tell there's a reason why there are so many people coming here. The bathroom was also clean which is a plus for me! Now, the food, if I need a word to describe it then it would be: ADDICTIVE! Dave's hot chicken is definitely in my top 3 list for chicken sandwiches! The sauce is special, the buns ... read more
