Tasty hot chicken! I love fried chicken so it was only a matter of time until I made my way to Dave's. Located on Platte St, Dave's has a very convenient location. It's a decently sized spot with a patio - wasn't too busy on a Monday, so we walked right up to the counter to order. As a first timer, I appreciated the small menu - made it easier to pick what we wanted! Dave's is my new fave! The chicken is on point and no there is no ranch dressing because it's not needed because the flavor is just right without it. I bathe lots of things in ranch before I eat it so naturally I was disappointed but then one bite and I was sold on the idea ranch was definitely not needed. Also they have a dog friendly patio. Service was fast and great!

I tried this place for the first time on Saturday after hearing mixed reviews. I'm not usually the type to get spicy food, therefore I would usually stray away from places like this. Upon coming in, I was glad to hear that they have mild options also so if you love chicken sliders or tenders, I would definitely try this place. I went here for the first time and I must say the interior is such a fun vibe. Plenty of seating as well! We opted to sit outside since the weather was perfect. We got the extra hot spice level and in my opinion (as a spicy food lover) it was the perfect amount of spice for me! I'm tempted to try the reaper spice level next time. I ordered the combo #1. All chicken is dry rubbed to adjust "spice", I barely broke a sweat on the reaper their most intense variety. I'm not sure there is reaper in it, tastes more like ghost pepper which is fairly bitter. The medium had more sugar and paprika than anything. Hot was still sugary, which I was not a fan of. Fries taste of the chicken seasoning as well, one note. Really cool little spot, great vibe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating - and a pickup window outside for online orders it looked like. The workers there all seemed kind and treated us well in the brief interaction we had with them, ordering is easy because the menu is truly pretty simple.
