About this business

TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

It was ok......nothing to write home about. I had the mild and it was very mild. Not crazy about the Dave's sauce - but I do not like mayonnaise.

Food was very tasty & you got to choose your level of spicy. Service was very quick & staff extremely helpful & polite. I will definitely return.

This is my new favorite chicken sandwich place! I came here for lunch with my husband and son. They don't have a kids menu but there is so much food, it's plenty to share with my 3 year old. I got the #3 and have the tenders and some fries to my son. My husband ordered the #2 and had one of the sandwiches medium the other hot. The manager also gave my husband the reaper chicken tender to try. He likes the taste but was tearing up from the spiciness.... lol. He said it gradually got hotter and hotter. The chicken over... read more

I came here for lunch today on a whim and kind of glad I did. I've been wanting to try it out for a while and finally got the chance. Walking in, the menu's pretty simple and standard. they have chicken sandwiches and fingers with a great selection of items to choose from. I went with the one chicken slider, fries and a drink for a total of $12.70 after everything. I think it was the combo #4? Let me tell you, I loved it! They have a lot of different spice levels here and the lady told me that if I get the hottest one, th... read more

I originally tried Dave's when they started expanding around the Los Angeles area and was excited to see one open up near me in Michigan. I think they have solid spicy chicken, and the sauce is good too. I usually go with one of their combo meals to get a good mix of sides and chicken. The fries are solid, and I like how they include lots of pickles as a neutralizer. I have picked up to-go from this place a couple of times now, and it definitely fills that craving, and I do not need to fly back to LA. Definitely worth giving... read more

My family and I have random dinner dates. I was hosting it at my house, I grabs some beers and my brother brought Dave's over for all of us to enjoy. I've passed this place several times but never stopped. I used to be a savvy's girl. Until I tried this place and boy oh boy this chicken is amazing!!!!! I would definitely recommend trying them and getting extra. I would have taken pictures but the food don't last that long!

Today was my first time trying DHC. It was a great experience. The food was fresh and the chicken was juicy and crunchy. The fries were hot as well. We had no complaints about the foot at all. Only 2 small remarks I have which do not bring the experience down are.. 1. I wish they had ranch dressing. 2. It was a little cold inside the place. Other than that it's a 10/10 and would absolutely come again.

Unlike many other reviewers I had not heard the hype. Despite being a USC alum, I never heard of Dave's Hot Chicken in LA, but saw that this location was open during a stop at Carrabba's a few weeks earlier. My mom and I finally gave it a try and after waiting in a 20 minute line to order I can honestly say it wasn't all that. The chicken is definitely fresh and juicy and very fulfilling, but the owner's must think all of America is LA because at these prices you could get a nice sit down meal in the area with a salad, drink... read more

Not worth the hype imo... I'd personally rather reach for ChikfilA... I don't like the sugar on their battered fried chicken! The spice wasn't even that hot either. Also, it was expensive for the portions.
