Shout out to Justin! We've been to Dave's multiple times but his service really deserves a call out. He was patient and helpful every time we were near the counter whether for napkins, condiments or a takeout box at the end. Every interaction he had with customers when we sat inside seemed personable. Food wise the chicken is always crispy and hot and well seasoned. The extra hot is our favorite. Great place to catch a bite before an Angels game. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Ambiance is fun, especially with the space painted walls. All surfaces were clean and the restroom was in good condition. Fries were great; flavorful and crispy. Hot chicken definitely had a kick, but could've used more seasoning.

My first time going to this place and first time trying their chicken - loves up to the hype! The menu is simple only providing Sliders and Tenders but you get to pick your level of intensity of the chicken you are eating. I'm not brave to go super "reaper" but I will go as low as mild. The chicken is tasty, tender, and delicious - I don't know what they do to it. They also have crinkle cut fries with a seasoning that is also delicious. They also provide sides if you want more with your meal. I recommend this chain

The food was really good. The service was awesome. And overall, I thought the experience was great. I tried the chicken sandwich extra hot. But it wasn't hot enough for me. Lol.next time I'll go with the reaper.

I've been to Dave's hot numerous times. Chicken is spicy, fries and bread were ok. Size of the chicken was also ok. The 4 stars is from based off the taste and spice of the chicken. The portion size, price and taste goes to main chick and red chickz. Those are my top Hot chicken spots in San Diego.
