I have been wanting to try Dave's Hot Chicken and seeing a few videos lately. I went yesterday and was both satisfied and disappointed. This place is pretty cool. The service is good. I loved the food, but I felt a little deceived. The menu said that the sandwich came with kale slaw, but it was unclear that they meant it was on the sandwich. If I were to pick between Dave's hot chicken and Canes, I would pick Dave's. There seems to be a bit more and you can choose the spice level

Dave's Hot Chicken was really good. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and had a lot of flavor. The spice level options were nice because you can choose what you're comfortable with. The fries were good too, and the portions were worth it. Overall, a solid spot if you want hot chicken.
Maria was amazing at helping me take my order. Food quality was on top hot and fresh. Atmosphere was busy and pretty packed on a Friday evening. Overall excellent.
