TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Food was not hot. Expensive at $40 for 2 people at lunchtime. Fountain drinks were $3.49 each. Floors were sticky. Garbage overflowing, all of the tables were dirty with leftover crumbs and oil. Seemed more like a frat party going on with the 3 male employees. Will not return here.
It's basically Five Guys for chicken. Absurdly priced for what you get. Walk in expecting to wait 10-20 minutes to get your food. Probably longer at peak times, so order ahead. I mean, it's chicken strips and fries folks...it should not be taking this long. What are we doing here? Ordered with essentially no line and still waited a solid 15 minutes for my food. I have eaten here twice. First time, I went with the Russian Roulette party pack and unfortunately got the mild and the medium spiced sandwiches. They were not spiced enough for me and I did get to try a bite of the reaper but I didn't think it was that hot. The Pickles and sauce was good and the sandwiches were larger than I expected. Great place to go if you like applebees chicken served on a slice of wonderbread. If you order a slider they put a sliver of cabbage on it which they call slaw. Crinkle fries came out of the freezer. Price was unreasonable for quality. Would have enjoyed mcdonalds better for a fraction of the cost. Will never be back and will make sure to warn people its only good if you want a case of bubble gut.
My wife and I went here. People were very nice and accommodating, and the place was relatively neat and clean. However, the food was extremely expensive and was at best mediocre. There wasn't good flavor in the chicken, and there was a horrible sauce that was put on the two chicken sandwiches, which we were not told about to see if we actually wanted it on our meals. My wife and I are not going to this place again. It is very unremarkable and me personally, I would be surprised if it lasted the 2023 year.
We was not impressed with chicken ,we got number one two chicken strips, fries, dipping sauce, white bread and pickles. Portions are good ,chicken was ok...greasy fries. Cashier did not listen when we asked for two number ones, so we had to wait for it ,so one meal was cold. We will NOT be returning
