TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Love Dave's chicken! I opted for Dave's #1 combo which included two tenders and fries ($11.99). It's cool that you can choose plain (no spice) all the way up to a truly HOT level of spice. Even your fries can be made spicy if you choose them to be. I went plain chicken, plain fries. They were very delicious! The white meat tenders were literally SO Tender and delicious!! When I walked in the door I was pleased to be greeted. I was able to place my order and my food was ready within less than 5 minutes so I'm very happy with their timeliness. My food also tasted very good so overall I'll definitly be back.

The very hot sliders are my go to order. You could say it's too expensive, but there isn't a spicy chicken sandwich nearby I'd take over this. (N and S is a close second)
There are 20+ places to eat within a mile of my home. Dave's Hot Chicken is our favorite by far. Juicy huge chicken tenders, either on a bun or not and six levels of spicy plus no spice make satisfying a group easy. The mac and cheese is well seasoned-a good switch for the fries. The kale slaw is tasty too..

As others have said, it is a bit pricier than you'd expect of a fast food type place. That said, it is pretty good. I got two tenders and fries. The bread is nothing special, just standard white bread. The tenders are generously sized and they were very nice and crispy after taking them home. I got the "hot" spice level which I'd say is fairly accurate. They don't use the Midwest spice scale. It's the kind of spiciness where you'd prefer to savor a bit instead of wolfing it down.
