TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Im visiting my sister and wanted some great comfort food to order in on a rainy day. I ordered a two piece meal, the chicken sandwich and the tender with fries! My food was seasoned well, fresh and the meat was juicy. Really good classic chicken spot. Just a warning that the hot is EXTRA HOT and the extra hot is SIZZLING with heat! I'll stick to a mild next time!
I ordered the chicken tenders with fries and a drink, but unfortunately, the chicken just wasn't for me. It seems like an acquired taste--the tenders were juicy, but I didn't enjoy the breading or seasoning. On the bright side, the fries were solid! That said, the service was great, and the restaurant itself is beautiful--super clean with amazing artwork that I absolutely loved. Even though the food wasn't my favorite, the atmosphere and hospitality were definitely on point!
Food made me sick the spice level is really different. Medium and mild didn't have much flavor at all.
I'm giving this 2 stars because the staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. The food would get 1 star. We went on 8/31/23 and purchased two 2-tenders dinners (no spice) and one 2-tenders dinner with the "hot spice". Dinners came with 2 pieces of white bread (Not toasted, not buttered. just. bread), french fries and a small beverage. Came to $44.25. Went over to try it out and ordered the meal with a slider, a tender and fries to go. Sit down to wait and wait about five minutes and start seeing people that ordered after me all getting their food. It wasn't real busy and the girl who took my order can see me sitting there waiting so you would think she would of realized I hadn't got my food. Food was good, as I've had previously. But perhaps they should shut down until they've got the kinks worked out. Line out the door, only one register running to take orders while like 3 other people mill about in the front doing nothing.
