TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Good golly, they have some amazing chicken sandwiches! Both their chicken and cauliflower were perfectly fried and dusted with seasoning. At this point, I don’t know who could make better hot chicken than Dave’s.
Great food! Great atmosphere! Has a lot better flavor than Cane's. Dave's sauce is, dare I say, BETTER THAN CANE'S TOO. We also got the new bites. If you're looking for a small meal that's the way to go. Be aware if you want the reaper level hot, you will have to sign a waiver!
Dave serves some delicious hot chicken - the tender was moist and perfectly crispy. The reaper was legitimate heat (they make you even sign a waiver), and extra hot was just perfect. Really appreciated the staff's attentiveness and attitudes, too. Oh, and get extra Dave's sauce.
Great place, great food! I came here with my family after seeing the viral videos on tiktok and I can confirm it’s as good as it looks. I got the #3 combo (a slider and a tender w/ fries) as did everyone else in my family except my mom who got the 2 tender combo. For spice level I got hot while the rest of my family got medium. We all agreed that the spice level was perfect for our preferred amount, plus the chicken itself was great. I loved the slider and the sauce. If you get the chance you should totally try it out!
Very busy since open with cars into street. Wife ordered two sliders/fries, I got a slider, fry and strip. Big pieces of chicken with great texture and flavor. Not real fast, but it is real fresh. Even the fries had a nice crisp outer texture which I love. I got spice level hot (kind of middle ground.) Just right for me. You place order and get a pager. Lots of staff and someone was cleaning off tables and floor the whole time we were there/nice!
