I had a horrible experience at Dave's Hot Chicken today. When I walked in, the cashier (I think her name was Jen) came out and actually started crying in front of everyone. Then she just walked away and left the counter completely unattended. A few customers, including me, were just standing there waiting with no one to take orders or answer questions. It felt unprofessional and honestly uncomfortable. There should be someone else to step in instead of leaving the front empty. Really disappointed.

I have a pretty consistent rule that even if I like your food, if you do something that causes me to say, "I won't be back!", you get the lowest rating I can give you because it doesn't get worse than completely losing someone's business and leaving them annoyed enough to write about it. A family member has been dying to try this spot for a while now. Ordered the hot chicken meal with a slider and chicken strip. When I say hot that chicken was so hot I had a ring of fire around my mouth lol. The strawberry lemonade is weak! No flavor at all, it is $3.99 with no refills. If I tried again I would probably get a mild.

My family came because we wanted to see what Dave's all about. Ordered mini chicken sliders and they weren't kidding! They were mainly bread, slaw, pickles....where's the chicken??? Chicken was actually popcorn chicken and breaded mind you. If I wanted bread sliders, I would have ordered that BUT I ordered chicken sliders . Also, there was an option of no spice, medium, or spicy. Since it's a pack of 4, figures I'd order 2 no spice and 2 medium to test the level of spice but can't even do that...what??? I went in to try out the new location yesterday and was greeted with horrible service from the woman up front. The cashier was openly crying at the register, constantly on her phone, and extremely rude to customers. Instead of providing any kind of service, she was short, dismissive, and made the entire interaction uncomfortable. Not worth the hype. The amount of chicken that came with the 10 piece and fries was atrocious. The food is very basic especially the mac n cheese. Could not tell the difference between mild and medium spice level. The items are over priced for the quality that customers receive. The only bright spot are the staff and the cleanliness of the business.

I thought, hey, maybe Dave's Hot Chicken just had an off day last time. Nope -- turns out "off day" is their permanent business model. They managed to completely lose my order, then made me wait over 30 minutes for... wait for it... a small top-loaded fries. Impressive, really -- it takes real talent to mess up something that simple. When I told the manager, she reacted with all the enthusiasm of a houseplant. The food is pretty good, but I don't understand how they don't have large cups. I ordered a large drink for roughly $4 extra, but they gave me a small cup, saying that a 'large' refers to the amount of boba. It's very misleading, especially since the menu shows different cup sizes.

The girl w the headband handing out the food is very selective w her customer service. Only nice to SOME customers. I come in here at least once a week for lunch and she is rude to me everytime. Never asks me if I want extra sauce and when I get to the counter to get my food she turns her back and is rude asf. I won't be back she ruins it for me every time. I see her ask others if they need anything else but when I come she's rude asf.
