Dave's Hot Chicken in Longmont is amazing! The chicken is super flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly and definitely lives up to the hype. I love that you can pick your spice level, so there's something for everyone whether you want just a little heat or something spicy. The staff here is friendly and quick, and the service makes the experience even better. I tried Dave's Hot Chicken and got two chicken sliders, which were well-fried, tasty, and plenty of food. The fries were okay but not crispy enough for my taste, though probably fine for most. The meal came in a nice basket, but $14.99 felt too pricey for what you get, plus $2.69 for a Coca-Cola. It's decent fast food, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it-doesn't come close to Chick-fil-A. Pretty good chicken. Note the extra-hot is comparable to Thai hot or Indian hot so they aren't messing around. The sauce cuts the heat a bit. The spice is kind of a powdery dry rub, so a bit different from Nashville hot if you are expecting that. The meat on one slider is like a large tender so 2 sliders is not too much.

The service here is top notch, given that the cashier was very thorough and knowledgeable with the menu and explaining choices (more on this in a moment) and after receiving food, staff checked in with us. The spicy chicken sandwiches/sliders are delicious. For me, they lose the 5th star with the unusual menu. The 4 combo meals center around "sliders", which at this place are halfway in between a full-size sandwich and the approximately 1/4 size slider that we would get anywhere else. Location was clean and serviced was friendly but HOLY SALT I couldn't even finish my chicken or fries because they were so salty. Prices also pretty high for fast food.
