We decided to try Dave's Hot Chicken after the district manager of Noodles & Company told us he loved Dave's Hot Chicken when it was in that East Hollywood, California parking lot and ate there all the time. Unfortunately, we didn't have the same opinion when it came the one in Oakley, Ohio. The first thing I noticed was how loud the music was. Chicken was dry , didn't know the "sauce" was a dry rub . Flavor was good but for the price I think there is better. Service was okay couldn't really hear the guy taking our order as it was so loud in there . Experience would have been better if the music wasn't so loud .

This review is a little late but I did go here the first week that is was opened. Pretty impressed with the fast service considering it was busy and during lunch time. The vibe I would describe in this restaurant is cranked up a level from Canes. I am talking about the inside of the restaurant and food itself. I love Dave's hot chicken and have probably eaten here about 15 times since it's opened; including July 4 opening day. The staff is friendly which is appreciated but I've had some dramatic long waits on food here, my husband waited over an hour once for my order. My biggest complaint is that the spice level never seems to be correct. I order HOT every time and seem to keep getting one tender hot one extra hot. Or both extra hot tenders. Dave's Hot Chicken started in 2017 with $900 in a parking lot in California. It has grown to nearly 300 restaurants globally. The location near my house opened a couple of months ago. Orders are placed at the counter and prepared fresh, so there is a little bit of a wait even when they aren't busy.
