In 2015 contacted Dawson Roofing about a problem I had with my mother's roof. The previous roofing contractor had improperly installed a ridge vent and strong winds had lifted it up and then water drained through the nail holes and wind blew water under the ridge vent. We had water damage to ceiling and roof sheathing. Dawson Roofing worked with the Hazelwood City inspector and replaced the damaged sheathing and installed ice and water shield, new vent caps, flashing and new shingles. I called Dawson to check out my roof to see if it needs replacement and after he inspected the roof Dawson said I need a new roof and I asked him are you sure because I did not want to make a claim but he assure me that it needed and when making a claim and date with my insurance company. This previous customer contacted us in October of 2024 to check his roof because he had a water stain on his living room ceiling. After inspecting the roof, we found a penetrated shingle on the ridge. We did a temporary watertight. We told him we saw hail damage on the roof, gutters, gutter protection, downspouts, and window screens. We told him we would meet with an adjuster if necessary. Upon Dawson Roofing's initial review, it was apparent there was a very old leak in the roof and/or wall above the interior porch, and that the roof itself had been personally repaired by the current or previous owner.
