The people I met were very pleasant and attentive. The only thing is she had a black pants and hoodie and it came up missing, her name was on the tag, I was told not to bring any nice outfits by others. Another lady that is there, I've been told was missing nice outfits and they think its the staff, personally I don't know, but a week and the nicest outfit missing. When it comes to the clothing issue, maybe mesh bag with resident name on it or just don't wash clothes???
Mom is doing well at Deer Ridge. They have been having Staffing issues, need more caregivers. The head nurse, [name removed] is the best! There are a few exceptional caregivers.
The meals are great! The staff are always friendly and seem to be very caring with the residents. I am not in her room much, but the rest of the facility seems very clean. My mom came from the hospital when she moved in and it was a smooth transition. I would recommend Deer Ridge Memory Care to others.
We picked this community because it is great, with caring staff. Clean facilities, nice rooms. I would definitely recommend Deer Ridge to anyone.
The woman who was showing us around did a fabulous job. The rooms were much smaller here than some others we looked at. The facility itself was also small. It was a nice place but not the right fit for us.
The community is very nice and very clean. The staff seem to really care about the residents and their families. The dinning room is nice and the food is good.
This facility is absolutely the best that they could be. I have nothing but praise for them, the care, and the staff. If it weren't for this place, I don't know what I'd do. Communication with the family is very good. They were so helpful when I first moved my friend in, also. She was angry for having to be placed in a facility and didn't want to speak to me for awhile. I think they're going through some growing pains as a new facility. They've had some staffing issues and a shortage of caregivers, but overall it's a nice place. It's very friendly and very open. They have multiple areas where the residents can walk around. There are lots of things going on and people moving about. It has been a learning process figuring out how to best support my loved one there and the staff there.
