I had the difficult choice of requesting help. When I did, Desert Hope seemed like the right choice. I was taken in, and processed much like a factory. I had difficulty with the case managers getting to me, but the therapists and nursing staff was very attentive to my situation. I was able to detox within two weeks and moved to Community outpatient. I will forever remember Laura, Joe and the many nurses on my unit. Thank you Desert Hope for starting my life off again on the right foot.

I came to Desert Hope seeking a 7 day detox from alcohol. Within those 7 days I chose to finish a 30 day program. As I found myself receiving the best medical care, therapy and friendships from other patients, I can’t imagine a better place for treatment to battle over 20 years of alcoholism. Korrina, one of my nurses, stayed by me through the awful withdrawal process and since day one checks in on me with a huge smile, a hug and reminds me daily that I’m a great person full of love with an awful disease. I love her for that... read more

To whom this may concern, I am a Navy veteran from San Francisco. I have had the pleasure of being a client at your Desert Hope facility From July to October in the year 2020. First, I would like to say thank you all, as an organization from a client’s point of view, and from a person with a lot of experience with residential programs. I came here as a broken soul and I was just a week or so out of the hospital for suicidal ideations. I am not proud of the amount of times I’ve had this experience with other residential... read more

Coming in, I was hesitant, somewhat forced and most of all had my exit plan. After being here for just a few days, my perspective very much changed and I wanted all help I can get in my 30 days. If it weren’t for the Staff and how helpful and willingly to help they were, I would not be in the position I am in today. I contribute my health and my current stage in recovery to desert hope and all the staff, most of all the staff I worked with every single day. Therapist Tammy, I’ve never had better discussion/ input on learning... read more
