Desert Radiology’s policy of waiting until 2 to 3 days prior to a scheduled procedure to get pre-authorization from insurance companies, on that procedure causes unnecessary rescheduling of appointments. Recently, I’ve had two appointments with them canceled the day before the procedure because they had not gotten pre-authorization in time.

You cant seem to get preauthorization for for appointments in time for the scheduled appts. They have to be rescheduled

Well first off when calling Desert Radiology, nobody answers the phone so the only way to book an appointment was to show up at the office. Upon arrival I had to fill out paperwork and then I was shipped off to a back room and it took me 40 minutes to speak to one of the two girls in the back room to book an appointment. Very poor customer service.
