My mom endured 5 months of symptoms and two other doctors with no diagnosis. Luckily we found Dr Desai and his NP Marcella. They were able to get her in and got a diagnosis quickly. Both of them took time to explain the diagnosis, answer all our questions patiently and refer her on to the appropriate specialists. While she has a long road ahead of her we are confident that we are in good hands. Would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

I was surprised to find these negative reviews, as my mother's experience with this doctor was quite positive. He was able to diagnose her when other doctors in this town and California could not. Highly recommend.
I met Dr. McDermott as an Inpatient at Summerlin Hospital back on 12/4-10/2017, then again 1/31-2/10/2018! She DID remember me the first time I was admitted and again, she took her time to explain what was happening with my Crohn's Disease, (diagnosed at 22 yrs. young), inherited from my Nanny; my Mom's Mom. Many comments on here, I believe, are referencing a different Dr Dasai (also gastroenterology). That Dr lost his practice due to some serious issues. I have seen both Dr Dasai's. This Dr Dasai is friendly, soft spoken, concerned & caring. The staff is very busy and yet stay professional and friendly. The office is very clean and well kept. I am very particular about who I see and I would and have recommended him.
Dr Desai is a wonderful and caring Dr. I’ve been a patient of his for years!! I highly would recommend him!
I met Dr. McDermott over at Summerlin Hospital and liked her so much she told how to become a patient of hers if I needed any further GI help. The girls in her office are very nice although I have to admit they aren't very good at scheduling. That's about the only complaint I have about her. Otherwise I think she's a wonderful Doctor who LISTENS unlike most!
