I had a revision rhinoplasty with Dr.Shah nearly 2 years ago. My first rhino was performed by a different doctor whom I will not name here. Before my first rhino, my nose was bulbous, asymmetric, and a bit on the larger side. Following the initial rhino, I hate even more asymmetry, alar retraction, and a droopy tip among other issues. i was very motivated. I had a great outcome. I would recommend anyone for the surgery but do your own home work and find the best doctor for you. I have not had any problems post off. I still have sharp pains to shoot through every now and again...other than the tolerable pain...I had a great experience.
I've hated my profile since I was a teenager. Always felt I was very pretty from the front but felt I had to hide my ugly profile with long hair and always holding my jaw forward. All around 5 stars! Dr. Shah is calm, confident, competent, and friendly / good listener. Doing any procedure that alters your face always causes serious hesitate, but this was not the case with Dr. Shah. He made me feel at ease immediately with his clear skills and competence. I hsve now had two procedures done with Dr. Shah snd his cordial, friendly, eficcicient ,ans ebullient staff. I admit to have waited the better part of 50 years to finally get upi the ncourage to go undergo the knife and Dr. Shah and his staff could not hive been more helpfull snf courteous by puttung me at ease and allaying my fears in order to follow through with the procedures. I am having surgery with Dr. Anil Shah in June 2015. It took me a while to decide on a surgeon, but after some research and narrowing down, I decided he is the one! I used a chart to organize all the doctors I was considering and all the requirements I want them to have (after researching which requirements a Rhinoplasty specialist should have). Amazing and talented surgeon. I felt like my requests were heard but valued his opinion more than my own. Recovery was minimal and so far I am very happy. I had no bruising, barely any swelling and no nausea. Will update more as results start to show. Going to Dr Shah especially if you are in the Chicago area is a no-brainer.
I could not be more pleased with my experience with Dr. Shah and his staff. I am currently 6 weeks post op from my rhinoplasty surgery. I am completely satisfied with the results so far. My new nose is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. And after my 6 week consult with Dr. Shah today he has told me it will only continue to improve in shape over the next 6-9 months. I have finally picked my doctor and set a date for my rhinoplasty. I know how hard it is to find good intel on surgeons, so I am starting this review. I had read a lot about picking a doctor over the pat few years, and a lot of articles I read said to bring pictures of the nose you want. That really didn't ever make sense to me. It is not reasonable to expect something entirely different then what you've already got.
