I wanted to share my experience being that I see so many negative ones- primarily about the staff. I have surgery set for Sept 21, 21 (BBL, TT, Lipo360) with Dr. Curves. Reading bad reviews spiked my nerves so much 2 days ago that I decided to start this in hopes that it makes others feel better being that my experience is different.
I met Dr. Curves in person one time in April 2019 and he is a nice man, quiet, reserved, but professional. He made me feel as if he has done this a million times and can just see in his minds eye what he's going to do with you. While at the office I saw a few post op patients and I liked how they looked. I have read many reviews about him and people are happy with results, but complain about the staff. I have seen his results on IG, I have met 2 moms that had the same procedures with him1-2 years prior to meeting them, several of the office staff has had work and I love what I see. The first consult was for us to meet him, get a quote and see what could be done. I did not book anything further. Did more research.
Staff was nice, and I met a gentleman there (don't recall his name) he handles the weight loss program among other things. He was very nice and treated us well. We left feeling comfortable and happy.
I did have my second consultation Dec 14-2020 via phone because of Covid and got the surgery date for Sept 21-2021. I did have to wait a couple of months for the consult because they are so busy, but it was worth it. This consult was with Barbara. Initially she was a lil short but as the consult went along she opened up, we could see her personality shinning through and have kept seeing it as I have gone along.
I have had to wait to hear back from her (1-3 days) but she does get back to me, does not rush me off the phone, answers my questions (or asks someone who knows the answer), and makes me feel comfortable. I also had a sweetheart named Liam call me back as well, but I had already talked to Barbara. Either way he did call me back so I appreciated that. This happened yesterday July 15-2021.
Some things I want to share based off of reviews/opinions as to why they do or do not get back to people-
I am NOT a celebrity, or public figure, just a regular woman. I will be posting my results and sharing with my friends/family.
I have only paid $50 for the second phone consult and $500 for the deposit that goes toward surgery. Nothing more yet. Surgery must be paid in full 60 days prior and so that is next Wednesday for me.
They are super busy because of Covid. It backed up people because he was not operating for some time so now- its jammed packed. Be patient and keep trying!!!
Start loosing weight if you have to. If your BMI is not on point, surgery can not be done so -start early. I am 5-5 and have to be 190 lbs. max and no less than 180 lbs.
Have your deposit ready to pay the day of consult for your surgery date. They can not hold a date without it.
Because of Covid, the recovery center is at the hotel next door and you will stay over night for observation in your own room, a nurse and who ever is going with you and be let out at 7 am the next morning. I will be staying at the hotel on my own accord once released for my massages and not be driving around so soon. Hotels in the area are aware of patients staying for surgery. Rates are around $89/night. I live in the ATL area but I will be taking it easy and stay close till post op day 3.
Remember that, as in anything, everything is a business at the end of the day. Even churches need money to operate. Is he on the more expensive side? Yes, but as they say, you get what you pay for. People are happy with their results which is what I think we should be most concerned about considering that you will be living with them and not staff. Customer service does (according to reviews) needs improvement, and I hope you all get better responses!!!
I will be updating this as I go.
