He graduated from The Emory University School of Medicine in May of 1995 with a residency at Rush University Medical Center and fellowship training at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. As an internal medicine physician and bariatrician, Dr. Tack has treated hundreds of patients for health, testosterone replacement therapy and weight related problems such as diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, hypertension, and arthritis.

Dr. Tack is a physician that is more worried about how much money he can charge "services" he supposedly performs and I wouldn't be surprised if in fact that he was submitting claims to insurace companies that were inaccurate and inflated. His personal hygiene is AWFUL. He office sees more turnover in staff than I have ever seen in a medical professional office. In the last 4 years he lost two staff memebers that actually supported and truly cared about the patients. I would not recommend this physician to my worst enemy.
With the cost of healthcare being what it is find someone better.
Dr. Tack may have been a good caring physician when he first got his liscene, but is no longer the case. All he is concerned with now is his weight loss program and protrays himself as being certified in bariatric medicine, which he is NOT. He has an individual working with prtraying herself as a physician, which she is NOT. He states she has her credentials, but that is in another country. Dr. Tack has no concept of time. I have had appointments, and he wasn't even in the office! I always, ALWAYS have to wait at least an hour to see him. He doesn't really listen. His office staff don't do anything. I have been lied to by them, as well, when trying to get information. It's an office of complete incompetents. I feel bad, because I think deep down, Dr. Tack is a nice guy.
Dr. Tack is never on time for an appointment. You have to plan on waiting at lest an hour and a half. His office staff is unfriendly at best. Most of the time they don't even greet you. Dr. Tack does not truly listen to his patients. I've had to remind him over and over about my health issues and specifics while in his office. He recently decided not to treat me at all because I canceled an appointment with him. Mind you, I canceled a week in advance. I am a medical professional, who knows Dr. Paul Tack. Being medically educated, I am really scared for his patients. I am surprised he didn't loose his physician's previleges yet. He has LITTLE KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICINE, TAKES A LOT OF SHORT CUTS, CARES ONLY ABOUT MAKING MONEY. HORRIBLE PHYSICIAN! I bet, a few nice comments here were posted by Dr. Tack himself to bring his rating up.
The office staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. Once, when I was waiting in the 1st patient room, I overheard Dr. Taft tell the office staff that he was tired from working late and wanted to come in later the next day. The office staff then proceeded to call every patient scheduled the next morning to tell them that Dr. Taft had to perform surgery and that they'd have to reschedule! Dr. Tack and his staff are like no other practice I have ever been to. They don't answer the phone and lie about it. They set you up appointments with Dr. tack and he doesn't show up(4 times) and they lie for him. When you request medical records or for them to contact other docs or insurance companies they don't follow through and then leave you in a bad place.
