Had colonoscopy and EGD...other than the day-before bowel prep (yuck) it was a good experience...arrived at 6:15 am and was in the car headed home before 8am...all went well ...and got a great report as well😊
I have been going to Dr Shelby for a long time. He is a good doctor. Very well mannered, calm and explains everything very well. His office staff is not great. Needs staff who is good dealing with patients. His surgery center staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Had my first colonoscopy last week with Dr. Shelby. The staff were very nice and efficient. The procedure was fast and everything went well. My wife wanted to see how my procedure went before scheduling hers. After seeing how mine went, she is going to also use Dr. Shelby for her colonoscopy.
I've been seeing Dr. Shelby for seven years. He is kind, discrete, knowledgeable, and works quickly. He takes the time to explain whatever is on your mind. I love his new location where everything is located in one office suite. Once he sent me right from his office to the emergency room after an endoscopy. And, he was right! I needed a CT scan to determine whether I needed surgery or not. While hospitalized he came to see me and even coached the hospitalist on how to handle my situation. SO nervous about having my first colonoscopy! My family doctor referred me to see Dr. Shelby, because of his reputation for being punctual, kind and attentive to his patients. I am very pleased to say, Dr. Shelby was wonderful! My experience starting with his friendly, efficient staff, the colonoscopy, and subsequent visit to discuss my results with Dr. Shelby, was exceptional! I will definitely recommend Dr. Shelby to all my family and friends!
He and staff don't seem to appreciate a patient's privacy - no matter what you indicate on the privacy form.
I too felt like my husband was rushed in and out. Dr. never even examined him physically. Dr. Shelby just rushed to schedule a procedure....NEVER received information on the biopsy results in the mail as I was told. I had to call the office for the results after not hearing from them for 4 weeks. I am very unhappy with the care and I will be looking elsewhere for a Dr. who has actual concern for their patients.
Felt like I was on an assembly line. Rushed in and out of upper GI endoscopy before my head stopped spinning. Waited more than 2 weeks to get my results.
He is an excellent Health Care Provider and I would recommend him highly to anyone that needs his services. He was patient, caring and efficient.
