Brother sucks & Amazon isn’t an authorized dealer. The media could not be loaded. 0 on use, value and tech support. Can’t even register my new item I’ve had for over a month because the battery will not take a charge! Brother will not send me a new battery! Seller has tried & tried to get me one. I talked to Brother and they will not send me one! BROTHER CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! Very Disappointed Not happy with this. I was in a crunch and really needed this scanner at home. Went to install it and the power does not come on whether plugged-in and/or the battery is installed. Battery aligned properly but scanner will not charge or turn on. I refunded.

Poor Warranty Service - Terrible Batteries? Note: I am a IT support person for a large university. Condition of unit, barely used for 8-9 months. Still in the 1-year warranty period. Purchased in May, it's January and the unit won't turn on, with USB power plugged in or not. Tried a couple different cables, but otherwise not much one can do with this thing to troubleshoot with no power. Terrible product Did not work out of the box. Won’t connect to my computer, won’t turn off, can’t download software. Unable to return it as I waited too long to open it. Terrible - don’t waste your time or money!

In this day and age, nothing should be this difficult to operate. I looked for a long time for the perfect small scanner. I thought this was it. lol I spent about a week trying to get it to work with the help of their tech support. Even THEY were confused. Don't let the simplicity of the look deceive you - it's HORRIBLE, and the instructions are useless. Buy an Epson! Open the package, sync it, and voila! It works just like it's supposed to. HUGE WASTE OF TIME!!!!!

I would stay clear of this product I lost the clip that holds the battery; contacted Brother and they could not fix or sell me a replacement. Also scanning was slow and not worth the trouble. Go with Epsen; a little more price but worth it.

Scans really well, software a big zero The scanner works well. The only issue I have so far is the software that I want to use it mostly for, BR Receipts. The receipt software is to be a bit more complicated than I thought for gas receipts. I want it to read the logistics like price, gas loaded, etc. I am not sure it will do this and it seems this may just be for basic receipts. Jury is still out trying to figure it.
