She's actually quite unhappy and looking to move again, so I guess we can take that for what it's worth. FS Beautiful grounds, nice residents. Not for people who are visually impaired.

My family is just so happy that she is there and enjoying more of a social life than just her family. Many great services to draw out older people who are lacking much of a social life. They have physical therapy, all three meals are included with rent. They have a book club, and a number of activities throughout the week. The staff are all very friendly. Also, the director at Elison Glen has been very helpful and kind to [name removed], which we very much appreciate. [name removed] also has very positive things to say about the staff, who he states are very professional, helpful and friendly.
I would give all a 5. Mom moved home in [date removed] with hospice and went to her eternal home [date removed]. She verbalized when she moved out of orchard glen that she wished she had moved there sooner. I found the staff very caring. They all knew her name and always addressed her by name. When you have no idea what to do a place for mom can be a big help. It’s good to start looking before you absolutely need it because you have time to make decisions and assess the situation. We got my mom in a nice place where she’s so much better off. It is not assisted living. It is senior housing and they have a lot of amenities there. I love the friendliness and the staff is very nice at Elison of Orchard Glen. We are still without a lifestyle director and have to make our own activities. It is clean. The rent was raised 9 percent, which is hard. Food is generally good, but some is too salty and I have to eat in my apartment as I'm on a low sodium diet. They are not allowed to perform cpr and have to call an emt if someone falls.
The staff are wonderful. All very warm and engaging. The meal service is great and very social, mom loves the food. It's in a really great area with a nice park & lake. Many people have dogs. The residents are all friends and there's always things to do. The building feels like a nice hotel more than a "old folks home". All for $[removed]a month. It's a dream. We feel very lucky and mom is so happy. Highly recommend to anyone!!
While dad loves the experience and friendships, it's very very expensive for him , rates have gone up in less than a year of being there and the administrator promises to fix things in the cottage but they have never been done . Too expensive in my opinion for what he is getting but he loves the companionship and yet the privacy he has in the cottage
