We took our two dogs to be evaluated for boarding last week. They passed with flying colors and we planned to board them for two future dates. 24 hours later one of our dogs ears swelled like a cauliflower. Concerned I called the vet who treated them. The ear swab was negative for any infection. It turns out there was an external puncture due to canine bite.
