Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of The Woodlands

I was taken to this facility by ambulance very late on 22 Sep 25 after falling in my home almost 24 hours earlier. When thery found out I hadn't eaten for 2 days they had a tray sent. As a result of the fall I had broken my sacrum which was very painful. I wa treated with kindness by all, from the top right down to the lovely lady who cleaned my room. The trerapists, Physical, Occupational and Speech were all excellent, kind and compassionate. In many hospital stays over my 88 years i have never had such excellent food... read more

This place is so great. The staff is all very friendly. This place is very large, so there are lots of rooms. There have a big cafeteria and a few exercise rooms and a pool that patients can use. My father in law came here for rehabbing his legs and they took such great care of him. The staff members are all very nice and very attentive. It's not like some other place that have one nurse to 15 rooms, they are spread out more so that you're not having to wait forever if the patient needs something. Would definitely recom... read more

I have stayed at a lot of hospitals, rehabilitation centers and step down facilities and the Encompass Shenandoah location is by far the best I have ever stayed at. The Woodlands location is ok if you are trying to decide between the two. The OT staff-Lisa, Amanda(s) and Jillian were fabulous as was the PT staff-Kelly, Brandon Nora and others. I am horrible at name's and there were others who were great but I have forgot their names. The food was decent to good! The best part is they went out of their way to offer choices on... read more

I have stayed at a lot of hospitals, rehabilitation centers and step down facilities and the Encompass Shenandoah location is by far the best I have ever stayed at. I am writing this review on behalf of my 85 year old Mother. She can't say enough wonderful things about this rehab hospital. From the excellent care, from the entire staff, to the very tasty meals, this hospital was almost like a spa to her. She was very well attended, listened to and felt genuinely cared for. They took all her fears away! Having left a regular hospital at 10:00pm at night, she was very anxious. Her transfer experience by the 2 gentlemen that cared for her during the trip was the start of a extremely ... read more

This rating says it's A-ok, and that's a good rating for Encompass Woodlands. Let's start with the good stuff: the staff is really nice, nurses and techs were sweet and helpful; the food was really impressive for a hospital; the physical therapy was strenuous but in a good way.
