First time to see him. He took his time with me and had a game plan. Called the GI for more information on my issue. His nurse is wonderful too. Carla.
Dr Sowell was professional and thorough . I was a last minute appt.
I first met Dr. Sowell when I needed a doctor immediately for my mother. I was so impressed with him, he soon became my new PCP. He’s never in a rush and treats his patients as if they’re the only priority he has. When deciding on a treatment plan, he engages his patient in discovering the best options. I recently moved back to Baton Rouge from Texas and finding a great PCP was important. With Dr. Sowell, I hit the jackpot.
Dr. Sowell is extremely attentive. He listens carefully to everything I have to say and spends time getting to know his patients.
This doctor was attended ask plenty question according to my diagnosis and came up with a solution.
I felt comfortable with Dr. Sowell. He listened, encouraged my questions, and was very kind and caring.
Very thorough and great bedside manner. Impressive knowledge of health concerns. Took time to listen and answer questions with patience & did not rush in and out.

He shook my hand but didn't introduce himself. He seemed kind of nervous and I felt like my symptoms were over looked, i told him i think I had fever and he still wouldn't take my temperature. when i got home i was 101.6. He did what he thought best to treat me and told me if i don't get better to go to the ER. Which was disappointing to hear because the entire reason i went to see him was to avoid the ER.
