6 stars for ESS at both locations on San Mateo and on Rodeo Road. Due to an inability to gauge how much space I needed, I had to cancel a just-made rental and find a larger space. First, I got lost, and the lovely man at 875 SM helped guide me to the right address. Then, Samantha at 900 San Mateo went so out of her way to help me cancel my rental at her location and get me what I needed at the Rodeo Road location. Went and looked at the place. New, large, clean. Prices change every 6 months, "and they never go down" according to the attendant. The climate controlled area was warm enough, but not nearly as warm as he said they kept it. (It felt about 60º at most and he said they kept it around 70º). I had such a bad experience with Go Store It that I'm dubious about these big national chains of self-storage companies.

This place is very pleasant to walk in, feels safe and well maintained, the staff and manager are very friendly and professional. We were helped on the spot.

Wonderful experience using this location of Extra Space storage. Both Josh and Dennis are super helpful. The units are clean, the indoor units are climate controlled, and I feel safe being in there by myself. I highly recommend storing at this location.

I am so happy I chose this Extra Space Storage location for my short term storage needs. It is climate controlled, super clean and they had just the size unit I was looking for. But the best part of this experience has been the excellent customer service. The staff have answered all my questions and been so responsive to my requests. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a clean and secure place to store their things.

I was super impressed with the patience, knowledge and professionalism conveyed by Store Manager, Alex Sinadinos at the San Mateo , Santa Fe location. Alex was friendly, thorough and answered all my questions with enthusiasm and detail. This type of experience is what makes customers happy and willing to return. Great job! Extra Space Storage on Calle Largo (between San Mateo and St. Michaels) is outstanding. I have had excellent experiences from the very beginning, the staff Alex and Chris are both super professional and helpful. I had an outdoor unit that was exceptionally clean and free of any kind of creature for varmint! Now I have an indoor climate controlled unit that is nothing less than awesome. The prices are market and you can count you and your stuff being safe and sound. Thank you Alex and Chris!
