I have been renting a space at extra space on Jefferson highway for 2 years. I love how easy it is to access my unit. I love the cleanliness and the friendliness of the employees. I have never had any incidents with pests in any of my property stored there. Even leaving my locker unattended for over a year. Not one thing touched and no pests whatsoever. Very clean! The employees have always worked with me to accommodate me if my rates should go up and have been very helpful. Brad and Christine excel in customer service.

I went to Extra Space Storage on Jefferson Highway this morning to purchase some packing supplies. The manager, Kristine, was working. I wasn't really sure what I needed, so she helped me make a selection based on what I told her I needed to pack. She was very helpful with excellent customer service skills!

Really easy to reserve spot. Went to see the spot and finish the rental and was quick and all the people were friendly. Good prices in the area.

I just moved in a week ago and unit is on the third floor. The floor is very hot and I was told new A/C units are being placed in the whole facility and the third floor was the first to get new units. This facility is supposed to have 5 carts and the most I've seen is two when the facility was completely empty as I searched all floors from one end to the other to try and find the remaining three carts. The main complaint is the third floor being hot and limited carts. I will check back at the unit at the end of the summer ... read more

Facilities are kept very clean & well-lighted. I have to go there by myself, so this is very important to me. The employees are very nice & helpful, as well. The only 2 complaints I really have are: (1) if you need a cart/dolly to move your stuff, you seriously have to hunt for it. I'm not sure how many they have, but it seems they are never where they are supposed to be, & (2) rent increases seem to be frequent. I opened my first storage container a 1 1/2 yrs ago at $50/mo. Don't do it. It's dank and dirty, security gates and roll up doors were never working and the building was always just open. Weeks after moving in my unit was broken into. It took a bit to move everything and the rent went way up after 2 months- after the break in. I was not notified and just saw all this money deducted from my account- I never got that back. Horrible experience all around. I chose this storage space because it was close to the house to which I was moving. I booked online without checking it out first - bad move. Although the website automatically sends you a gate code, once you get into the gate, there is no obvious entry. I ended up having to return during their office hours to inquire as to how to enter the storage section and get to my unit.
