DO NOT STORE HERE unless you want to be price gouged! The hours at Extra Space are nice, but not worth it. My rent went from $162 to $245 after three months of storing here. This company is just another example of corporate greed and they are taking advantage of their customers. I will say the employees are really nice here and they have no control over the rent hikes (of course, those come from corporate). Don't waste your time moving your stuff here... go find a company that is ethical.

STAY AWAY! This place promises safe keeping of your property and then doesn't even notify you when there's been a break in. Better yet, won't even return your call when your property is stollen. Foul play is written all over this place. I would never trust this facility with my belongings after the experience I've had and the absolute lack of customer service and professionalism that occurred. Your better off storing your stuff at a busy street corner than at Extra Space Storage.

They lied about raising rates and then hiked them up $30 after 6 months then said it would raise again another $30 or more in another 6 months!... It's a great storage facility if you only need a few weeks. Anymore than that and they will mail you rate increases and add in fees and charges for no reason. Many cheaper and safer options. Plus there are people living in some of the units and it feels very unsafe. Not 24/hr either and they are never in the office. The management was extremely sleazy. Not only did they charge extra without letting me know, but they also lied about contacting me and continued to charge me past me closing my account. I received a phone call months later, letting me know my "overdue" balance was going to collections when I had moved out months ago. The service was ridiculous, the locked me out of the facility by making my gate code invalid, and made it impossible to reach them. They raise their fees (rent) every 9 months or so. They are a REIT, so the rent is based on property valuation. Their grace period before late fees are assessed is short and it's a day shorter on their contract (the actual date after which you have to pay the fee) than it is in their FAQ's on the web. IMHO, this is a material misrepresentation of their terms which is actionable, and perhaps outright fraud. Not sure how this place has so many great reviews, went in to the office to report water damage to my things. Spoke with Elitza Talwa about the situation because my items were ruined. Claimed that she would speak with her manager and would give me a call, NEVER HAPPENED. Every time I would call, no answer (if you call more than once they will finally answer and be incredibly rude to you). WARNING!!! Unlike other storage companies you will be charged a "pre-Lien" late fee after the first month being late. Now they will add two more months on top of all that before auction. Point being , the large "pre lien" charge comes before ANY OTHER STORGE COMPANY. I have units in Tx and GA that told me not until the official Lien notice is given they don't post any dramatic "lien fee"charge other than standard late fees.
